The Dog House offer Beginners Group Obedience Courses. These courses consist of 5 x 1 hour classes over a 5 week period.
There is a 1 hour session held on the first session. Dog's are not to attend this session. During the session we will provide a course outline, briefly discuss safety during the sessions, give you some exercises to work on prior to the course commencing, and provide some basic information on dog behaviour.
The classes are the same time each week and the courses are held at either 17B Brown Street or Blatherskite Park (unless advised otherwise). Please confirm prior to the commencement of the course.
Included in the beginners group obedience courses:
- Basic obedience commands (i.e. Sit, Stay, Come, and Down)
- Common behavioural issues and tips to trouble shoot them
- Training and tips to help teach your dogs some manners (including manners while on lead)
- Tips on socialising your dogs
Note:
- Premium dog treats will be provided at each lesson
- Multiple human participants are welcome, however additional dogs will need to complete a separate booking to attend
- There must be someone 18 or older supervising any children at all times
- Dogs must wear a tight fitting collar / harness and be under control at all times
- If participants are more than 10 minutes late they will not be permitted to attend that session. A catch up session may be arranged for a missed session for $99.00 (the cost of a one-on-one session) subject to availability. If a catch up session is not arranged the participant may not continue with the remainder of the course.
